After a well slept night I ate a big breakfast and packed my bags before leaving Lehto behind. I would have loved to stay a bit longer, but I yearned to see the big bustling town of Laakso.

The path to north was well kept and surrounded by fields and orchards. Even though the forest had been beautiful, it was nice to have a different surrounding for once. Even the wind and sun felt different now that there were less trees to block them.

The way to Laakso was not long and by the afternoon I saw the gates of the town, guarded by soldiers with the same kind of armors that I saw in the inn last night. They asked my intentions in Laakso, and I told them I was a traveller, who wanted to see what was life like in a big town and that I promise not to cause any trouble. The guards let me in and told me I could find a good inn near the town center.

I was astounded by the colourful townsfolk and the tall buildings around me. Most of the people were like me, ordinary men and women making their way to buy food and meet others, but I saw some that were different. They had fancy clothes, elegant hairdos and exquisite mannerisms. These were the nobles living in the town and people seemed to respect them, bowing slightly as they walked by. I followed the example so I wouldn’t be impolite.
